Connections Ministry

Group Leader
Lead a Gateway Group while being a spiritually mature believer and member of Gateway; evidenced by encouraging spiritual growth of others; by following Gateway’s Live/Grow/Serve/Make discipleship journey.
Group Meeting Host
Host group leaders’ meetings among Gateway Group leaders. Host homes are responsible just for hosting meetings. Gateway provides food, drinks, etc.
Outreach Team
Call and write notes to new guests, thanking them for coming to Gateway, making them feel welcome and inviting them back.
Greeters Team
Welcome every person you encounter in a welcoming and loving way. Ensure that every person entering the church knows that you are happy they are here. Direct first time guests to the Welcome Center in the lobby. (Serve one service per month.)

Teachers & substitute teachers are needed to help young adults navigate their faith through our weekly classes.
Special Events
Each month our young adults come together for a special event. Come share life with them and model the Christian walk, all while having fun together. Help is also needed for set-up and tear down for these events.
Cooking
Young adults really open up around free food! Either cook in the church kitchen or bring a meal here for one of our special events & treat our young adults.
Hosting
Open up your house for the young adults to meet at for small groups or activities, either temporary or long-term.This is where the description goes.

Instrumentalists & Vocalists
Calling all vocalists (any part), guitarists, keyboards, percussionists, harmonica, accordion, strings, brass — any instrument, really!
Production Team
Help run live sound or livestream sound, cameras, lights, switching video for our livestream, running our slides and lyrics; or serve as a backstage manager.
Stage Team
Help design, construct and set up our stage for special services (such as Good Friday and Easter), as well as a couple of times during the year when we install a new design on our stage.
Intercessory Prayer Team
Meet with others on Sunday morning before church to pray for our preaching pastors, worship team, Sunday school classes, kids ministry, student ministry, and young adult ministry
Missions
Missions Team
Gateway partners with 17+ missions groups/missionaries and invests over $125,000 in mission initiatives. We are building a team of high-level leaders to coordinate and promote Gateway’s missional initiatives and impact. Operation Storehouse
Operation Storehouse is modeled after Joseph’s Storehouse (Genesis 41) and the Early Church’s Feeding Initiative (Acts 6) to receive a food surplus and redistribute it to those in need.
We offer a distribution storehouse utilizing 3 levels of volunteerism:
Shoppers: We invite volunteers to pick up extra staple groceries for Operation Storehouse. After the groceries are purchased, they can be brought to Gateway at a scheduled time and left for the next level of volunteers to stock.
Stockers: The stockers will organize the staple goods into designated shelves. The stockers may pack bags of groceries that will be dropped off by the next group of volunteers.
Droppers: These are individuals willing to drive to Gateway at a scheduled time, bag or pick-up pre-packed groceries in the Storehouse and deliver them to a doorstep — think DoorDash for Jesus.

Facility Teams

Chair Team
Members of the chair team work together to set up chairs for Sunday services and occasionally other events.
WNL Clean Up Team
Members of the clean-up team work together to wipe off and put away tables and chairs following the Wednesday Night Life (WNL) dinner.
Indoor Maintenance Team
Help with the repair and maintenance of the church building. This could include painting, wall repair, plumbing, electrical, construction, carpet cleaning, general cleaning, etc.
Building & Grounds Team
Help with upkeep of the outside of the church building. This could include landscaping, weed control, snow shoveling, etc.

Events Team
Members of the Events team assist in coordinating events. This includes planning, implementing and clean-up.
WNL Cook Teams
Cook team members plan, shop, prepare, and serve the Wednesday Night Life (WNL) dinners. They are also responsible for cleaning the kitchen afterwards.
Coffee House Servers
Coffee House servers prepare and serve coffee and snacks to church members. They also keep the coffee house area clean and welcoming during Sunday morning services.
Memorial Service Team
Gateway offers to provide a fellowship meal to our church family members when they lose a loved one. The meal is usually prepared and served at church before or after a memorial service or funeral, depending on the family’s needs and wishes.
